Youth Ministry

Youth Ministry

PPC’s Youth Ministry walks alongside of Middle and High School Youth on their spiritual journey. Through a combination of scripture study, service, and fellowship, we want all Youth to understand how their story fits into God’s story and know they are loved by God. All Youth are welcome – period.

If you have any questions or would like to get involved, please contact our Director or Youth Ministries, Emily Hall at 704-846-1079 ext 14 or by email at emily@ppc1767.org.

SUNDAY MORNINGS

All Middle and High School Youth meet on Sunday mornings for a time to dive deep into the stories of the Bible, explore the different liturgical seasons of the church, and be in community together. While every morning looks a little different, you will always find friends, snacks, and laughter!

CONFIRMATION

PPC Youth in 8th and 9th grade are invited to take part in the year-long journey of Confirmation. Through a combination of Sunday morning activities, retreats, service projects, and off-campus excursions, Confirmands learn about their Christian faith, the PCUSA tradition, and the world around them. We want youth to be confident in God’s love for them, our love for them, and to know that they belong at PPC.

Child and Youth Protection

Child & Youth Protection

As people who seek to live Jesus’ commandment to “let the children come to me” (Matthew 19:14), the members of Providence Presbyterian Church take seriously the importance of providing a safe and nurturing environment for all children and youth participating in our activities and programs.

The Child and Youth Protection Policy intends to protect the children in our Church community, the adult volunteers and employees who work with them, and the Church itself. The Policy establishes standards and procedures for:

  • Supervision of and interaction with children and youth
  • Screening and training volunteers and staff
  • Reporting of and responding to suspicious or inappropriate activity

All of our volunteers and paid childcare workers attend a Child and Youth Protection Policy review session, agree to comply by the policy, and undergo a background check before they begin working with our children and youth.
